Maggie Abbott

What I Can Help With
Maggie has extensive experience and a love for supporting children, teens, and their families. She offers support to this population in the areas of anxiety, OCD, grief and loss, trauma, challenging behaviour, parenting support, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Her work with this population is often informed by her training in Play Therapy and child development. Her therapy space has a sandtray, puppets, games, art and craft supplies. Maggie also provides counselling services to adults. She discovered a passion for working with adults who are experiencing trauma and grief through supporting survivors of sexual abuse and newcomers to Canada. In addition, her experience with becoming a new mom during the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic has drawn her to the area of perinatal mental health and working with individuals during pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, and loss. She also provides support for adults who are experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, relationship challenges, parenting challenges, and life transitions. Maggie enjoys working with clients of all ages and is accepting referrals for children, teens, adults, families, and the perinatal population. T he fee for a 50-minute session is $150. Receipts are provided for insurance reimbursement/tax purposes. Your session may be covered by insurance under clinical counselling and/or naturopath provider categories.
