My Approach
As a proud member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, Jodi brings over six years of clinical counselling experience to her practice. She has advanced training in psychometry services, with a particular focus on ADHD and neurodiversity, and works collaboratively under the supervision of registered psychologists as part of a multidisciplinary team. ​ Jodi’s expertise is enhanced by her certification in trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT) and her designation as an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. She is well-versed in a range of evidence-based mental health interventions, including crisis intervention and critical incident debriefing. Her diverse experience spans employee assistance programs and educational settings, equipping her to address complex mental health challenges across various populations. Jodi is passionate about delivering psychoeducation and practical strategies for managing anxiety, work/life balance, ADHD, and trauma. She is a trauma-informed and neuro-affirming clinician who approaches therapy through a positive and mindfulness-based lens. Jodi is deeply committed to a strengths-based perspective, recognizing the vital connection between mind, body, and spirit in helping individuals achieve their highest potential.
About Me
Jodi Penney is a dedicated and highly skilled Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a strong commitment to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. She holds both an undergraduate degree in Education (Primary/Elementary) and a master’s degree in education (Counselling Psychology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
